Ezra & Gil - Obsessed!

I just got back from Ezra & Gil... AGAIN! My favorite breakfast and lunch location with the best coffee... by far. I love the cute little designs and welcoming atmosphere. It definitely fits the Northern Quarter. It has the sort of industrial feel with the down-to-earth hipster vibe, but thankfully without trying too hard. And somehow, the artistic masterpieces they serve make their way out to your table in less than 5 minutes. Take a look for yourself! And make it over there if you can! Also... biodegradable straws. A restaurant after my own heart.

Evuna NQ - Spanish Tapas

Had a wonderful dinner this evening at Evuna NQ (Northern Quarter). The tapas were fabulous. We ordered the following:

• Warm vegetable salad-sweet potatoes, romanesco cauliflower, parsnips, beetroots, rocket, pinenuts PX Sherry dressing
• Seabass fillet with garlic and chilli
• Filetitos – finly sliced chilli fillet steak
• Slow cooked Iberico pork cheeks on roasted potato

Paired with the meal, I had a glass of the Pazo do Mar Expresion - Treixadura from Ribeiro. 

We had a shared long table with another couple, which was quite nice, especially considering we came in without reservations. Throughout the restaurant, there were maps of Spain and the waitstaff were all incredibly attentive. I plan on coming back for lunch at some point and trying more of the yummy tapas!
